Website Founder Stays Put

Catherine P. RollinsMy announcement last month that I was “hanging up my hat,” and had put the Natural-Progesterone-Advisory-Network.com website was up for sale caused mixed reactions in the BHRT community. Why was I letting it all go? Was I selling out? Who would take over the reins? Would the site continue to play an important international role? It certainly got me soul-searching!

Founded in 2001, the Natural-Progesterone-Advisory-Network.com website grew organically from a simplistic vision - to make available good (unbiased) information on bioidentical progesterone that would help women, wherever they may live make good choices about their health. To create a content rich resource site that offers women a “safe place” to share their “coal face” experiences, access unbiased recommendations, advisories, and concerns.

In putting the Natural-Progesterone-Advisory-Network.com website up for sale, I got to appraise and gauge its real value and potential without me at the helm, to glean feedback from subscribers and business associates, and perhaps most important of all, to examine my own personal commitment. Did I still have the passion and energy it takes to single-handedly keep an advocacy/resource platform like the Natural-Progesterone-Advisory-Network.com website at the forefront of the the bioidentical hormone replacement debate?

Generous words of encouragement from friends and respected members of the BHRT community gave me pause to reconsider.

Then, with a few offers on the table, I get a reality check. I visit a local doctor for some annual tests, and happen to mention I routinely use natural progesterone cream, have done so for ten years. This doctor fires up, all outranged and flustered and shouts at me “don’t you know those creams cause cancer” (see full article). It was at that precise moment (as I geared myself up for a counter attack) that I realised there are still way too many daft doctors out there in communities across the globe scaring women senseless. Maybe I need to stay put for the time being to continue the war on misinformation intentionally created by drug companies to cause confusion because they want to hide the fact that synthetic hormones are proven dangerous.

I welcome your comments, questions, feedback and suggestions, and may use them in my monthly ‘Hormone Harmony’ newsletter.

To contact me, look for my email address on this newsletters or go to the site’s Contact Us page and complete the online form (which in then emailed directly on to me).

In light, love & laughter,
