Hysterectomy Outcomes Study

Have you had a Hysterectomy?

If your answer is yes, then Damaris wants to hear your story.

There are over 645,000 Hysterectomy surgeries performed every year. Studies have shown that women experience numerous changes after Hysterectomy surgery.

We believe that many of the studies currently available on this subject do not necessarily examine the changes experienced through the lens of Hysterectomy types. Additionally, any changes that may occur are often not examined by the factor of time since the surgery, before drawing generalized conclusions which are commonly applied to all women and Hysterectomy.

Therefore, this study will focus on the following areas:

  • Has your sexual functioning change for better or worse since the surgery?
  • Is your emotional or physical health better or worse after the surgery?
  • Is your intimate partner relationship more satisfying or less satisfying?
  • Are there differences in Outcomes between Hysterectomy types?
  • Are there differences in Outcomes over time between Hysterectomy types?

This study is looking for a significant number of volunteers to answer a couple of Surveys on a private and confidential Internet Site, which best describe the Outcomes of your particular surgery, in the areas of Sexual Functioning, Emotional and Physical Health, and Partner Relationship satisfaction. We are looking for women who have had the following Hysterectomy(s):
