I have been using progesterone cream for 4 months now, can’t figure out why I have started having vaginal odor?

I am 44. I may be starting perim. My periods are a little heavier the first few days then they have been, but they aren’t real heavy I would say compared to most women med flow. They don’t seem to be clotty fairly runny - to mild clots. Last time the blood was darkish red this time brighter red like usual. Nothing has really change other then the starting day which could be anywhere between the 26-29 day normally I started the 28-29 day.

I have been using progesterone cream for 4 months now. just can’t figure out why I have started having odor now, never really had odor before, only when the pad was getting full but now I try to keep it changed often. Thanks for your response. I started putting baby powder on the pad, but don’t know if that is good or not.

Dear Brenda,

Whatever you do, DO NOT put talcum powder anywhere near your vagina. Talc particles are closely related to the potent carcinogen asbestos, and have been shown to cause tumors in the ovaries of cancer victims.
