Something interesting to pass on to women concerning breast health…

Hi Catherine,

Something interesting to pass on to the women concerning breast health …

After being on HRT, Premarin and Provera for 3 years, I found myself faced with breast density in one breast. Still on HRT I had another mammogram six month later, being concerned the other breast became dense. After educating and researching myself, I weaned myself off, got on progesterone cream, went for another mammogram and both breast cleared up back to normal. So I am convinced progesterone cream is very beneficial to us.

Thank you,

Christine

Dear Christine,

So am I! That why I keep this website and free newsletter going …

Progesterone does oppose the effects of estrogen on breast tissue. My own story bares this out.

A suspicious lump was discovered in my breast during a routine examination by my GP. A second medical opinion confirmed that I needed to submit to a mammogram. This all happened a few months after I’d agreed to estrogen & testosterone implants, and Provera on the side to protect my uterus.

I was running scared when I happened upon Dr John Lee’s info on natural progesterone. So I sourced myself a jar of cream, began applying it directly to my breasts, examined my diet and lifestyle, and eventually got up enough guts to line up for the mammogram. The results came back all clear. The lump had gone!

But the ‘fright’ and apprehension remained with me for years afterwards. I developed such a profound fear of my breasts that I couldn’t bring myself to examine them. Every time I made an attempt at self examination, I’d start to feel sick to my stomach and break out into a sweat. Instead, I’d ask my female GP to do it for me. Subconsciously, I didn’t like the idea of having to look for what I may not want to find. Or screwing up an opportunity to save myself if I had cancer hiding somewhere deep in my breasts!

When I was about aged 14, my best friend, Shelley, from next door, shared with me that her mum had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Shelley’s mum didn’t pull any punches. Most days, she was brutally honest. We got up close to her missing breast and watched her stitches heal. We’d try to make light of it all by playing ‘catchie’ around the kitchen with her mum’s false boob. But not long afterwards when things appeared to have returned to normal, Shelley came home from school to discover that her mum had walked out and left her, her older sister and her alcoholic father.

I can’t tell you how many years it took me to get over Shelley’s loss or, as a adult, to come to terms with my own demons. But I can say is that while I may have been ’spared’ from breast cancer, many women haven’t been so lucky.

My heart goes out to those immensely strong, resourceful, and unbelieveably brave women who are, at this very minute, grappling with this insidious disease that effects one in twelve Australian women, 1,670,000 women world-wide, and in North America, takes a woman’s life every 12 minutes!

I believe progesterone supplementation can save lives. I believe it saved mine. I believe progesterone offers a form of ‘insurance’ against the ravages of breast cancer. I believe every woman over 35 ought to consider introducing progesterone cream into her optimal health program.
