What is meant by perimenopause?

‘Peri’ menopause denotes the months or years ’round about’ or nearest to .hop.clickbank.net target=top>menopause. To be diagnosed perimenopausal is to exhibit signs and symptoms that your reproductive years are winding down. You are having occasional anovulatory cycles. By this we mean you menstruate but perhaps you are not ovulating every month. The age is roughly between forty to fifty-five, although many women are going through perimenopausal symptoms earlier, particularly those who have had tubal ligation or some form of disruption to their hormones.

This is a time when progesterone levels are likely to drop and estrogen dominance set in.

What is meant by premenopause?

‘Pre’ menopause denotes the years ‘before’ or leading up to menopause. However, it generally spans 4-5 years and starts in the late forties. Again, it can begin any time after the age of thirty-five and is characterised by hormonal imbalance in a woman.
