When is the best time to apply the cream?

The cream is best applied directly after showering when the pores are open.

When you first start the cream it is best to split the dose to allow for approximately 24 hr progesterone coverage. The cream has, based on our observation, about an 8-11 hr influence on the body, therefore, if you split dose into a morning and night application you are maximising the benefits of progesterone with a more even deliverance over 24 hours. Hormones are needed throughout the day and the night to do various jobs.

It is better to make your evening dose larger than your morning dose to facilitate a good night’s sleep, and allow for maximum absorption during your resting phase. Some women find this ‘relaxing’ sensation slows them down too much during the day whilst others find it increases their energy levels. There are those women who prefer a single morning dose claiming it assists them with stress management. So it’s important to experiment and discover what levels work for you and when you prefer to take your cream.

As you become physiologically balanced and feeling more comfortable, having built up your progesterone reserves, you may wish to change your split dose (by now considerably lower) back to a single evening dose for more convenience.

Helpful tips:

It pays to carry a spare tube or jar in your handbag for management of stress, hot flushes, anxiety, or headaches. Dab on temples or back of neck hourly.
