Why do women expect progesterone to fix all their problems?
We have just listed all the benefits of progesterone, so therefore it is only natural that women would expect progesterone to fix all their estrogen dominant symptoms. In the equation one must ask the question, why are they estrogen dominant in the first place?
Hormonal imbalances masquerading in many problems such as estrogen dominance and/or progesterone deficiency may take many years to accumulate and manifest, often in insidious ways.
As it took time to arrive at this point, it will take time to improve, reverse and eliminate many of these problems.
We have found that if women only have mild estrogen dominant symptoms, or have been estrogen dominant for only a short period of time, their likelihood of response to progesterone is going to be much faster than for someone who has been estrogen dominant over a number of years, or who may have other medical conditions.
Many women despair that the cream hasn?t fixed them instantly and this is where persistence and commitment need to be embraced.
We have observed that many woman do not understand the functioning of their own bodies, let alone understand their hormonal and reproductive health. Though intuitively they have sensed the inner answers and know there is a missing link to their hormonal health and wellbeing. Once they discover progesterone and start using it, this hormone seems to resonate in the body and it “feels right”.
Women realise they have discovered their missing health links but do not know how to carry it through because of lack of education, understanding of their own bodies, and how to use progesterone successfully.

I have been on progesterone and it is not working. Why would this be?
- Unrealistic expectations of progesterone as a magic bullet
- Inconsistent usage
- Unrealistic timing
- Lack of knowledge or information
- Incorrect usage
- Certain drugs which inhibit or are counteracting the effects of progesterone
- A dysfunctional liver / fatty liver / overweight
- Chronic long-standing conditions like FMS, CFS, endometriosis, diabetes
- Very tired adrenals (adrenal exhaustion) or malfunctioning thyroid glands
- Inability to absorb (inappropriate cream base, poor skin absorption)
- Insidious factors unknown
- Diseases with unknown interaction to progesterone therapy
- You may not require progesterone replacement therapy
